Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi problematika pembelajaran yang dihadapi oleh mahasiswa perpindahan dari International University of Africa (IUA) ke Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab di UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan (mixed-methods), menggabungkan metode kualitatif melalui wawancara dan metode kuantitatif melalui kuesioner untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang komprehensif mengenai tantangan yang dihadapi oleh mahasiswa perpindahan. Hasil wawancara mengungkapkan tiga isu utama: perbedaan kurikulum dan metodologi pengajaran, adaptasi budaya akademik, dan dukungan akademik serta sosial. Hasil daripenelitianinimenunjukkan kesulitan mahasiswadalam menyesuaikan diri dengan kurikulum dan metode pengajaran baru yang berbeda dari yang mereka alami di IUA. Perbedaan dalam struktur akademik dan cara belajar menimbulkan tantangan tambahan dalam memahami materi ajar. Selain itu, mahasiswa menghadapi kesulitan dalam beradaptasi dengan budaya akademik yang berbeda, termasuk cara berkomunikasi dan berinteraksi dengan dosen serta teman sekelas. Dukungan akademik dan sosial yang tidak memadai juga menjadi masalah signifikan, dengan mahasiswa merasa kurang mendapatkan bantuan dalam proses adaptasi mereka.
